Disney Resorts

The Walt Disney Company was founded in 1923 and quickly grew from a small animation studio at the back of a realty firm to what we see today. Disney has developed signature characters that are instantly recognizable and has expanded from cartoons and animation to include theme parks, resorts, hotels, and even Disney-themed Cruises. For nearly a century, the Walt Disney Company (better known as Disney) has been tugging at our heartstrings and stimulating our imaginations using the magic of storytelling and animation. As time has passed, Disney has developed its signature characters and expanded its catalog of movies, television shows, and merchandise. Characters like Ariel from The Little Mermaid or Winnie the Pooh will ring a Belle for anyone who grew up with Disney in their home. Now a popular vacation destination, Disney’s theme parks, and resorts bring the characters we love to life and many magical memories can be made while exploring each of Disney’s properties. A playground for children and adults alike, these vacation destinations will tickle your fancy as you meet the characters and pose for photos, explore Disney-themed rides and hands-on activities, and enjoy movie-themed action parks, food, and vacation resorts. Dining, attractions, entertainment, and shopping – Disney has it all – and now you can use Disney Rewards to make a dream vacation a reality.

What are Disney Rewards?

The Disney Rewards program is a no-frills loyalty rewards program targeted primarily for those who love the House of Mouse. Unlike other hotel rewards programs, there are no membership tiers here; members can create a free account to manage their rewards, check their Disney Rewards Dollars balance, request a Redemption Card, transfer rewards to a Redemption Card, and more.

How Does Disney Rewards Work?

Disney Rewards Dollars are earned by making purchases using Disney’s two co-branded Visa® cards, issued by Chase Bank:

  • Disney® Premier Visa® Card: Premier Visa cardholders can earn 2% in Disney Rewards Dollars for every $1 spent on all card purchases at grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants and most Disney locations. This adds up to 2 Disney Rewards Dollars for every $100 you spend, and an additional 1% on all other card purchases, so you can turn everyday spending into a dream vacation.
  • Disney® Visa® Card: Cardholders will earn 1% in Disney Rewards Dollars for all everyday purchases made with their Disney Visa card. This adds up to 1 Disney Rewards Dollar for every $100 spent on everyday expenses!

Note: You cannot earn Disney Rewards Dollars without one of these credit card offers.

Each time you make a transaction with your card, you’ll earn Disney Reward Dollars, which hold the same value as $1 when they’re redeemed directly with Disney properties. Disney Reward Dollars can be used to purchase things like:

  • Theme park tickets at Walt Disney World® and Disneyland®
  • Costumes, toys, and games from the Disney Store
  • Hotel stays at Disney Resorts
  • Dining, shopping, and entertainment options at Disney theme parks, Disney Springs®, Downtown Disney® District, Disney Cruise Line, and more
  • Disney Cruise Line vacation packages
  • Movie tickets to see the latest Disney and Star Wars movies at AMC Theatres
  • Airline travel (this benefit is only available to Disney Premier Visa Cardholders – you can purchase airline tickets with your card and then pay yourself back by redeeming your Disney Rewards Dollars on your monthly statement)

In order to redeem your Disney Rewards Dollars, cardholders will need to create an account with Disney Rewards and request a Disney Rewards Redemption Card. The Redemption Card can be used in combination with cash and accepted credit or debit cards, as well as in conjunction with other offers, and can be reloaded at any time. You can order or reload a Redemption card online, over the phone, and at theme park locations; Rewards Dollars must be transferred from the cardholder account to the Redemption Card before they can be redeemed.
